Sundown, Best Buy and Walmaert should not be used in the same sentence. I would run 4 gauge and an 80-100 amp fuse.

It already installed with 8 gauge, so 80-100 amp fuse is fine eventhought it came with 50a fuse?

Pal go get a 4g amp kit before you burn down your car its got 90 amps wort of fusing on it and can pull upwards of that in short bursts

8 gauge can only really support 40amps at 15-20ft.

Either you wont get full power out the amp, or it'll mess it up.

You really need 4 gauge to get the most out of that amp.

I think is about 15.5ft long, installed on my 08 accord sedan. Wonder why db-r (chris) recommend me to buy 8 gauge kits.

i'm confused...you ran it with 8 gauge when we said to put in 4, put in a bigger fuse size, and your amp started smoking?? I am a bit confused if that was the case. The sundown's are great amps, but contrary to what some people test them to, they are not indestructible. Run the 4 guage and get the proper fuse size and you will never regret it!

before you put a new fuse in you are supposed to figure out why it popped in the first place if you dont do that some times you pop the amp
