Who has one of these subs?

Recommended Posts

i'm waiting for someone from gnome to get back to me.

i believe building it myself is going to be alittle much.

but...i definatly don't have the tools to do it. and chances are i'll never make a box again... so... it wouldn't be worth buying them.

around my area theres only 1 place that will have them built. and they charge about 150 a box

Thats definately way to much for a box. i can make you one for $40 plus shipping and all you have to do is glue, seal it and screw it. and carpet it if you're into that sort of thing...

ok got em

h - 16 at the very max

l- 36.5

w- 15.5

want tuned to 31

and ported...

that gives u only 3.3ft^3 with both subs and a port....

i guess it would work, but i think u need more room...

bb6p shows a flat response even with that size...

ur port would be 2.5" x10" x 18 5/16", to get tuned to 31hz...

that's assuming 3/4 mdf...

What?!?! I thought you were gettin the rl-p's? Well, I guess my offer is still up for that box. What time frame are you lookin at? Whats your area code? and if you're wondering why i'll do it so cheap its because it's still fun to me! How would you like to do payment?

well... that sounds good. Paypal works for me. If I can't get my hands on software, i'll just have to work out the dimensions with some people on here and ca.com. I'm thinkin shippin it out on monday's not unreasonable. Lookin at about $10 for fed ex ground delivery.

orion says a 2.25ft^3 box with about 20in^2 of port..

if we go by that.....using 3/4" material..

16"tall x 27.5"long x 16" deep, port is 8" x 2.5" x 28.25" long..

with sub and port displacement..2.3ft^3..u could always throw in a brace or two, dowel rod..to get it down the other .25ft^3..

will that help, or does anyone recommend a different box, port?

*crosses fingers*

so we're talking like 50-55$?

i'll ask hcaa about box recomendations

done...i've got some specs....

16"tall x 37"wide x 17"deep, with a 10"x3" port 22.75" long (rounded up two hundreths), including four 3/4" dowel rod braces...a net volume of 3.558ft^3.

will that work?

if so, i'll email the plans to kjwiehoff to get ur pieces cut out!

this is for one 15" h2, using 3/4 mdf.

hccafan, whatcha think? denim?

i feel like i need to move this topic to fabrication...

That box size seems aful big compared to what the reccomend on the site... whats the basis of the decision on the size?

wanted to give it as much room as i could.

but seriously i'm not an expert. or even well educated on these things. so... my basis is probably weak
