6k RMS, which subs to get?

Recommended Posts

can't decide if i want to get 4 BL 18's or 2 BTL 18's. what do you guys think?

im going fi because i live in las vegas and ill pick it up locally wink.gif

if i go 2 BTL, i won't lose my rear seats, if i got 4 BL ill lose it. but fudge it i don't care anymore about seats. hehehe.

i want to do a decent hair trick

just ordered 1 crunch gp3000d-pro. gonna order another one after i tried it on a btl or 2 bls

Do you have the electrical to back up 6K RMS? Looks like you're skimping out by buying a below-quality amp in the Crunch...I'm hoping you have a 300A/dual 300A alternators and at least 4 deep cycle batteries...

If you're never planning on entering a sanctioned competition, I'd go with more cone area.

I agree. Remember...no replacement for displacement.

Imo, the crunch 3000d pro still hasn't proved itself to me as far as output everyone states it can do. That being said, why not 4xSSD 18s. More bang for the buck if you're going to run that amp for all four subs. If two of em are being run, then BL 18s is what i'd do

Let me get this straight, you are buying subs because you "want to do a hair trick"? The compensating has to stop :(

but i have never had one... but i have had other products made by the same company,

but the reviews i have read people seem to be suprised by the out put.. even one guy that pushed 2 fi bl 15's with it... but who knows what kinda specs he had. just wanted to throw that outthere///

did i miss what kinda car or truck suv this build is gonna be in?

I'd Go For The 4 18'' FI.BL's Because They Will Be Louder Because Of More Cone Area.
please dont say that

If you're looking for hair tricks then go with some SSD's or MJ's or something like that. The more air you can move the better. Obviously if you have the money and power for the BL's, no reason I see why not to go with them. But if you are looking more for hair trick only and wanna save some money, the MJ's or SSD's are a killer option.

Big subs, big port

do it up!

It doesn't take bazillion watts and choke subs to do hair tricks...

I seen a 10" Fi BL and a 1500D sundown do crazy hair tricks...

Any idea on what size the box was and how much port area? And just one 10'' bl?

i have decided, ill just go with 2 BTL 18's and 2 audioque 3500d(when its released) on a wall, i will still keep my back seat.

it did all that in a scion tc? well that just put a smile on my face because when my other amp gets here, i have 2 12" AQ HDC3s off of 2 AQ2200ds tuned to peak at 34hz.

It already has some pretty crazy lows off of just 1 AQ2200d at 2ohms, i'll post a vid of a hair trick. Just gotta give me 5 yrs, i gotta let my hair grow out, :)

those chrunch gp 3000ds are anything but a low quality amp.
