Yeah, I could really care less how fast any car I have is... Makes no difference to me if it runs a 10 second 1/4 mile or a 40 second 1/4 mile. As long as its reliable, and will go about 75mph on the Interstate, Im good to go.

Speed is wayyyyy overrated imo. Ive driven very fast cars.... Its cool and all, but for just driving, how often can you really open it up? Its just a waste to have a fast car get driven around town. Then again, when you have a system, I can do my thing while just drivin around town... Hell, my car does what it does best just sitting in a parking lot.

DSG, whats the loudest system you've heard personally? I used to be into speed but then I started hearing some real loud cars and I knew instantly, THATS FOR ME. I gotta have one of those.

Started with 1 cheap 15 on 500rms... Now im at 24 15s on around 20,000rms.

well yeah i here ya on the driving around town part your right lol. You can't really go that fast all the time which is why my car is a track car and it sits in the garage most of the time. I also have a bike yamaha R1 that sits there as well. As for my daily driver its the dodge caravan lol, but like you said its reliable and gets to just the right speed on the interstate + i have a chit load of room to stuff as much sound in the back as i want which i cant really do with my small ass eclipse trunk. As for the loudest system i have heard in person would have to be among 2 cars. My boy had 2 15" kicker L7's running about 3000watts in his S-10 pickup. And my other boy had a setup simmilar to your clam shell, only it was a wall of 4 15's with about 10kw to them and like 25 6x9s in both his doors, in the dash, and any where else that he could fit them chit was crazy loud. He had a ford expedition like yours sept older, and i love bass as much as i love speed but bass is somthing you can do on more of a daily basis. Thats why im getting the system in the van now, so i feel ya on that its all in the same hobbie to me cars any thing to do with cars have it be suping up the motor, or putting some killer sound in the back im bout it. I here ya on that man when i saw the videos of the btls in action i knew that it was for me befor i ever event heard one inperson it was actully your videos and meades videos on youtube that made me want to get a BTL and is now the reason that i bought 2 18's and wating for them in the mail now lol but i have heard loud systems nothing compaired to your current system or the one your building now lol but around 140-150 db systems at least.

Yeah, around here everyone has sick systems. At any given show, theres usually at least 5 people in the 150-159.9 class.

When I first heard that car that was doing a 150, I thought that was so loud. Then I heard louder and louder stuff. Then I sat in the Ho Problems truck.... Crazy.

When theres other people Bassracing high 150s and doing over a 160 in Bassboxing, you just wanna step yours up, and get in there with them. Hopefully Ill be up there... Not promising any numbers though, as that would just be a guess. I know it will sound loud on music though.

As for funding... Just worked alot of hours.

just curious, did you ever have your 4 18's meterd? if so what was the numbers on them, it looked like it was about to rip out your seats and dash in the videos lol

Was workin at a restaurant. Nothin special. Before classes started I was doin about 65 hours a week, then when I was goin to school, I was doin 40 hours a week. Gettin paid $8.50/hr. Not a top end job or the greatest pay, just put in alot of hours because I knew what I wanted.
