What options should I get on SSD

Recommended Posts

I am going to get 2 SSD 12's. I don't know what options to get on these as far as Dual 1 ohm or Dual 2 ohm, Flatwind coil or Copper coil and what is the BP option?

I also had the same question about the Dual 1 or 2, and the ohm loads they would have on the amplifier for one or two subs.

2 Dual-2 subs can be wired for .5 ohms or 2 ohms or 8 ohms.

2 Dual 1 subs can be wired for .25 ohms, 1 ohm or 4 ohms.

Depending on the amp you have dual 1 is most likely the best option for most of the car audio class D amplifiers (but check and see what the lowest supported impedance your amp can handle. (or in my case you would check and see at which impedance the subs will get the right amount of power because I have beastly amps).

And I'm guessing Dual 1 can be wired at 1 ohm or 4 ohm?

Edit: Most class-d's run on 1.5 - 4 ohms

Either 1/2 or 2, for a single driver.
