Title says it all right?

I've pre-ordered the subwoofers, I will get them near the end of may/ early june.

This is the stratus:

I will be tearing out the old baffle, and the front.

Making some kind of base, battery rack, and amp rack in the trunk.

Clamshell will go behind the seats, then I will seal the trunk off, stuff it with polyfill.

I bought E8's (sundown)

The final specs will look like this:

Re = 3.37 ohms (4 ohm nominal)

Fs = 34.9 hz

Qes = 0.5323

Qms = 6.93

Qts = 0.4943

Vas = 7.6 L

BL = 13.3 N/A

Mms = 127.7 grams

Cms = 162 um/N

Xmax = 12mm one-way linear (70% BL method)

Rated RMS Power = 200 watts

Depth = 4.25"

OD w/ gasket = 8 5/16"

Cut Out = 7"

Sealed Box:

0.280 ft^3 w/ F3 of 50 Hz (Qtc = 0.707)

Ported Box:

0.60 ft^3 tuned to 30 Hz

F3 of 25 Hz

They should be black instead of chrome.

This will be fun! :veryhapp:

these will be powered by 1 or two sundown 3000d's

cutting glass smells like pine.

Alright, got a lot more out, once I get everything I need out I can start cutting the metal that is in the way.

Then on to sealing the trunk off from the cabin, in prep for the box/baffle.

what the hell is a Bandpass IB Clamshell box?

Are you undecided which you're going with or just retarded?

Clamshell designs at like bandpass boxes, I didn't have the room for a congruent baffle.

However, this enclosure will not be sealed, it'll be open to the trunk/area outside of the cabin.

You forgot "snailshell hellboy kerfed isobaric dual tuned folded rear front loaded horn" from the name of the enclosure

So basically your calling it bandpass b/c it is firing into the "sealed cabin"... The way it looks you are just doing a clamshell (trunk baffle not even infinite baffle)

Well no, because it fires inside the mouth of the baffle. The opening has less surface area than the speakers.

and if I open the trunk it'd be a true IB...but I will be stuffing it with polyfill to help dissipate those back waves.

i'm not worried about what it's called, it's called my setup, and I was just looking for a title to entertain you guys.
