All right, i have a question about grounding. I have an 1 F capacitor, got it for free and just using it untill i have enough to buy all new equipment for my truck. I was wondering if it would be alright if i grounded my amplifier to my capacitor, and then my capacitor to my floor? would there be any problems in that?

thanks,

scott

Edit: This is gonna be for my sub amp

yeah... thats how you use one...... thay are pretty much the most worthless thing ever IMO.

i used them years ago, i once had the experiance of a Fcap impeeding the flow of power to my amp in one case.

but you should allways wire bursh the paint.. get all the way to metel, then tap screw your ground to a solid part of the car... i drilled thru my body and ran 2 double 0 gauges to my frame.

Thnks for the reply, thats how im gonna do it when i get my new system.

Its gonna consist of:

2 10" icon+sundown packages

1 100.2 for each door (2 total)

alpine 9887 (have 9885 right now, love it)

4 yellow tops

several runs of 0/1 or 0/2 wire.......

you get the point.
