system for my wrecker

Recommended Posts

alright, my truck motor blew last month... i pulled the motor and sent it to be over hauled. new pistons rings head, sleaves its all getting done.. i have a new turbo here ready to go... i love my wrecker and im thinking i need to put a new system in it kinda like a re birth for her.....

currently i have...

old sony explode cd player

2 4 inch coaxels

1 jensen 200 watt

1 kicker comp vr 8 mounted inside of a old clarion bass tube encloser...

i just upgreaded my 4 channels in my car with a sax series soooo that leaves an jl 300/4 open for either use .. or sale to fund my new system.

i want a mp3 player, i was thinking some 4 inch comps ran off the jl, along with a new sub on the jl aswell.... i can keep the kicker..

whatcha think.....

I vote do an entire custom system in there using components up front, the factory system in the freightshakers blows.

Can you fiberglass??

What about custom comps in the kicks? If you have the foot room that is...........

Also I would think of maybe a single 12 inbetween the buckets or under the bench.

some interior pics are a huge help Jon.

yeah ill get some pics.. its in my shop right now.. i have another truck.. but ill get some pics asap...

i can not do anything for kick pans cause i work in all weather... and with a 16 eee i need every each of space... not to mention the snow mud rain and spills in the truck..... it has a 60/4 style seating.. my driver seat is air ride indepentend.. the passenger side is a 60 bench.. and the bottom opens for storage.. its very tight, and with the 8x20 bass tube i have about 2 inches on each side and about 2 feet on one end.

i want to start glass work.. but not on this truck... i run the company but thay are my bosses trucks!!

Well that kinda limits things, and i can understand the reasons for no kicks..............I would have to say maybe pods for 6.5" in the doors if possible??

i would love to!... but when it rains im out in it.. not just driving with the doors closed.. im in and out in and out in and out... and with TEXAS sized rain drops.. by the third storm ill be buying new speakers.

i pretty much have two options for full range... and it either 4 inch.. or 4x6....or i guess i could do 2 4inch.. and 2 4x6.... but thay will still be over head
