1000D with (2) SD1-V2's Question

Recommended Posts

I am replacing my son's existing 100.2/(2)BA G110's with a new 1000D along with the SD1-V2's.

I plan on running 1 ohm load with 200+ watts of overhead from the amp. What measurements and adjustments do I need to make to adjust the gains so that my 16 year old son won't blow that crap out of these new subs?

With the 100.2 & the BA G110's, they were a perfect 4 ohm bridged 400 watt match. I was told to adjust the gain for an output of 40 volts rms with the subs disconnected @ 3/4 volume. This setup has performed perfectly.

Is there an initial setup voltage that I can shoot for that will limit the 1000D to approx 800 watts into a 1 ohm load?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have a Fluke DMM but not an amp clip.

Got It!!

Thanks guys I really appreciate it.........

Just one last question..........What frequency should I input into the HU when setting the gain? I used 50Hz when setting the 100.2

50 Hz is fine, just set the LPF all the way up and the subsonic all the way down when setting the gain to make sure it doesn't interfere with the test frequency. After setting the gain adjust those how you want them.
