Need some help....Please...

Well today at the TBP bass wars event, I found out that I'm not getting any voltage readout off the RCA's from the headunit. Tried it with several meters and it wont register anything, just shows 0.00 .....So apparently, I'm not getting any RCA voltage input to the amplifiers...

Someone suggested I needed a line driver to solve this problem. My question being, would this solve the probem....being that I can get a cleaner signal and can adjust it to the voltage I want.. ?

If you have zero voltage a line driver won't do anything, after all 0 multiplied by anything is still 0.

So if a line driver is not the solution...what is the solution? I've gotta get this fixed before next weekends show in Longview..

If you aren't getting any preout voltage, either that set of preouts from the head unit are dead or you have a crossover set wrong that's attenuating the output...I'd try checking to see if you have a filter set somewhere, or maybe swap out head units with a known good unit.

You were using your meter set to AC volts, yes?

Yes the meter was set to AC Volts...I can swap out the unit with another and see if it makes a difference...thats not a problem...
