ground loop......

you have a few options,

1. get a ground loop for your RCA's that go to your 6x9s

2. your amp is mostlikly screwed into the metel of your car.... use small screws.. screw your amp to a board, then use more screws to bolt the wood to your car,

3. besure that your power wire and your RCAs DO NOT run togather.

That's interesting, didn't know that could happen due to amp being screwed to metal.

I've never screwed an amp down to metal either by the way, hehe.

I've always mounted amps to wooden shelves and had them mounted to the frame.

it sure can.. and usualy it causes it until you open the trunk... i started young... and with no big brother or friend i could look up to when it came to audio... out of all the kidds where i was from.. i started first, and sought after problems... i was poor and didnt have money to take my car places.. neither did my friends...... i fixed alot of other peoples mistakes along tha way.

im sure there are more things to cause it then that.. but those are some...

o yeah and your RCA could be cut.. or pinched.

1. Is there a tutorial on the correct way to make a "ground" for 6x9s?... what size wire to use, etc.

2. My amp is mounted on the back of my back seat, ontop of a wooden/carpted board.

3. power wire is ran down the driver side to the front... Rca's connected in the trunk next to 6x9s where the high/low is located
