15" icon boxes

just a feeler as to what everone is running their 15's as far as box and power.im going run one with 1000w at 2ohm.i see the rec. box range between 3.5 and 4 for optimum 27 -33hz. i have the space ,would i get noticeable differance . how does 4cbs at 30hz sound any feedback is good.

I have my 15" Icon in that exact box (4cb.ft. at 30 hz) and I love the way it sounded! It gets plenty loud when I want it to and it sounds very clean and accurate the whole time. I am running it off an SAE 1000D

is that slot or aero port. and if slot how many sq inches

I've got mine in a 9.2^3ft box @ 25hz. Dual 4" Flared Aero Ports

Johnecon and I tested one in 9.2ft^3 w/139in^2 of port and sounded amazing. They are pretty flexible IMO of box size. Boils down to what type of sound your wanting?
