New Memphis Mojo's

Has anyone heard the new memphis Mojo's? If so, how do they sound and what would/could you compare them to?

the mojo's are knowing for being pure spl subs but i really couldnt tell you if the new ones sound better then the old ones..

I heard the new MOJO 12" on a Rockford tb2000d amplifier the other night.

Looks different but about the same as the old one I had. Better cooling system than the old one, but still a 90% SPL Driver.

I don't like the dark design of it, especially the rubber boot that covers the whole magnet, makes you wanna believe they are trying to hide something. I have my opinions though....

Nice driver, but the new styling isn't very appealing to me....and it never will be, since I don't like the design of the JL's.

i had me one of the 1st memphis mojo strapped to a memphis 1000.1 and it slamed i dont like the new one design but mojos are nice speakers.

put 2 on the atomic 5000 in an dual 12 ported audio enhancer box in my blazer with a 160 am alt and kinetik 1400 it was wenough to make my eyes water.easy high 140's never broke a sweat they were definately louder than one mojo 15 in an audio enhancer box

i think that magnet boot is hiding the

( we downsized the magnet )

so you cant see it this way thinggy

if ya got it flant it...dont hide it with a boot...

The only reason I ask is because a "semi-new" shop in town just got the new ones in and the price isn't all to shabby. With my military discount there I can pick up the 12's for around 400 a pop.....but then again, I keep thinking about BL's, lol.

i didnt like the rainbow design, Rainbows are a renound sign for gay pride, i didnt say anything harsh and was politically correct about it even.

the color scheme now is more visually apealling imo

I myself prefer magnet boots on subs, just for that finished look. As well as i have pet peeves about magnets with chunks out of them form barely knicking them against stuff

im a pureist... i wanna see what is going on with the motor, all the rubber & plastic covers is a lil less macho for me

i like the monster magnets and when people see em next to a common sub its obvious why people hide there dinky mags with a boot

My Soundstream SPLX has a 192 oz. magnet to the Mojo's "228 oz." magnet, but my SPLX Sundstream's magnet is bigger and the sub outweighed my old Mojo by 2lbs on my scale. Puzzled me...

Still a nice driver that gets loud, but I personally would look for something else. But to each his own..

the SS SPLX has a thicker design than the Mojo.
