Did you check your amp and all power & signal cables? Fuses?

in a bandpass, it will be hard to smell abuse by the time u got to the sub.

gotta give us that weird ohm load.

And make sure when u measure it with the DMM that the stereo is completely turned off including the amp.

Yes take your digital volt ohm meter and let us know what the coils are reading at rest...then we'll go from there.

Thanks!

Ohms will fluctuate if there is any breeze or even a stereo playing... sympathetic vibrations set things in motion and it goes from DC resistence to AC impedence.

When you pull the sub look through the vents to see if the coil looks burnt or smells it. ZX1500.1 is a strong amp and is rated at a fair amount more than the Q. We will get it sorted one way or another.

Thanks,

Scott

Sounds like a burnt coil to me, you'll need a recone to get back running again. Warranty does not cover burned coils...what's your zip code and i can give you a shipped price on one.

Thanks!

oh i see lol. . . . well i think i found a new discovery the dmm i have to check is a peice of chit an i was hookin it up then turning it on then discoved that the reading is the same when it aint plugged also i discoved a peice rattling or something. . . when i turn the speaker upside down sounds like the peice settles behind the fi symbol cause i cant get it to shake out. . . must be on the inside no idea what it could be tho!

Thanks Again Everyone for info.

Sure send it in, just make sure you put all of your information in the box when you send it. Name, address, phone number, and email.

Thanks!
