dan your ish is weak sauce lol.

sweet van.

lol....

well just came back from the local comp...i got 1st on my category...but im actually dissapointed with my number...even though i got 2dbz up i still cant touch the damn 140's perhaps my van has a low pass filter set to 139.9 lol im actually thinking of retiring my van from dbdrag and go buy a hyundai accent or a crx or maybe add more subs and power and bassracer 130-139.9 cat...btw i did a 138.9 sealed on the dash and a 139.4 sealed on the kick.

i think im gonna have to dampen my panels to see what i gain and perhaps add a second 15 or something but its definitely tough to break the 140 on a minivan...thought it was easier lol :S

It is relatively easier since you have more space to put more subs.

That is still a pretty good score for a single sub in a large vehicle.

Have you tried the port facing to either left or right? Sometimes that will produce louder scores.

thnx...yeah i consider it good score since im only giving the sub about 900wrms but im dissapointed cuz i wanted to do 140 :S but w/e i had a 2 db raise by changing the box...some local competitors told me i should do a bigger box tuned a lil lower so i could peak at abou 47-49hz...im gonna do a bigger box with more port area to see if that helps me

...yesterday i tried it with the port looking to the right side of the van and after 6 seconds of the run i literally went running to the back of the van and started moving the enclosure around and it did more with the box looking back close to the left side of the van...should i sell my 15 and buy another one or what things could i do to gain tenths??

be4 u go retiring the van

all u have to do is play around with the box...dont have the box in the middle like that...put it 2 the side and see if u gain that way

and also play around with ur interior...if u can take the front passanger seat out ..do it...im sure it will gain u a few tenths...

but good numbers from 1 midi-oker sub

80

I know everyone here is trying to be nice and all, so I'm gonna be the first to say it. Dude. You talk about adding more audio equipment to up your dB's. But if I were you, I would sell my system and buy a new car. That van is gonna take a chit tomorrow and your gonna be all pissed because you won't be able to listen to your woofers. Get a new car. That way people don't laugh at rattling purple minivan pushing 139.9

No disrespect.

Just lookin out for ya :)

thats the number i did today at a comp yay im closer to the 140s by just playing with the speakers position :D that number was at a match with a friend of mine which has the same speaker as i do...he metered his minivan with the engine running and i did that score with the engine off :D
