Probably just impedance rise.

What are you using to measure??

it seems to be hittin in the low 140's .. i dont think its loud enuff for that setup, but then again it just might be me, the subs hardly move.. but if thaz not enuff power then ill look into a second 40.1 ,, one for each sub

measure the subs with the stereo off, measuring with them on will give you off the wall results.

IF you are wondering if you got them wired right, always measure with stereo off.

IF you are wondering why resistance is so high when playing something, that's rise.

im using a digital multimeter

You cant measure resistance in a circuit with power applied. You need a clamp meter and multimeter to calculate resistance in the circuit with applied power.

yea i did with power off ,, im not good on wiring configs.. but i think i got them in series so that just one pos and one neg go to the amp.. and it reads 1 ohm at the end,,, but then when turned on its still 1 ohm... but when i turn the music up it goes to a lil over 5 ohms..

lol.. yea it suckks,, guess its time for the second amp

What ohms are your subwoofers? I think the wiring is just messed up. I don't know how you can wire 2 subs to 1 or 1/4 ohm.

I think you have it wired to 4ohms.

I agree one 40.1 will move your DP's with no problem at all....you must have wierd them to 4ohms!

IIRC the DP's have quad 1 ohm coils...meaning he can wire down to .25, 1, or 4 ohms

If he has dual 1's, he would series each woofer, then parallel them at the amp.......1 ohm final

That is why I am running my 40.1's at 0.35 DCR. With rise, they are up near 1 ohm. . .Have not had any problems so far.
