i'm doing mine at 33hz for a 15. i would think 35 would still hit lows. maybe you could drop to 34-33.

The BTL isn't a sub that's supposed to sound good or get low. It's supposed to kill the meter.

You should probably step down to the BL depending what power you have.

if you can honestly "hear" the difference with in 1-2 HZ tuning thats pretty impressive.. You shouldn't botice that small of a difference...

Steve Meade has his tuned to 30hz and he has 4 18" BTLs, ask him what he thinks of the low end...

And here is a quote from tejcurrent from his install of 4 18" BTLs tuned to 36hz -

so what is the best frequenzy to tune this 18'' btl. 70% of the time i listen to rap and 30% i listen with stuff with kick drums

35hz is fine, just give the sub good clean power and plenty of port and it will impress. When you start tuning above 40hz or so, that is when most people will start to notice the lowest of lows missing. With automotive applications, there is not much need to tune a ported box much farther below 25hz, largely because very little recorded music is played that low, and at that point you might as well build a good sealed box instead.

get a bl if your just a bass head..... btls IMO are for spl.
