upgrade from original plan?

Recommended Posts

my over all budget has been raised to the area of $600-700 this is mostly so I can afford to build a box. Still want two 18's and due to my research, I am looking for about 8.5cubes@26Hz because singaboy311's box is a kewl design. Again thanks for the help so far! I am looking forward to building this beast, just so excited ( parents aren't LOL) but hey, if its too loud, you're too old!

Youtube = bad place for subwoofer information.

Just something for you to sit on...the world record was set and is still currently being held with one 18" subwoofer.

Digital Designs Z series, in an older Volvo.

World record scores don't happen because of the equipment, though, they happen because of the countless number of hours and days that go into testing and refining it :)

I've always thought the idea of comparison sub shopping on Youtube was idiotic. Because it's all about the enclosure, and there are a multitude of ways to make a subwoofer move a lot and not have impressive output. And there are a lot of ways to have a lot of output without a lot of cone travel.
