if i will get the ssd is it alright if i get the flatwind coil and the bp

and if i get the bl what additional options will you suggest???

if i choose the spl option does it mean that the bass is hard???

if you like more SPL then the BL for sure, but go take a look at that link John posted. It tells you everything you need about the options.

thanks man, i already looked at it, i think i'll go for the bl 12" and get the dual 2 ohm, chamfer, daily, universal, and flatwind coil.

as ive said in my previous post i 'am just worried if my amp(dls a6 ultimate series(1200 watts @ 1 ohm)) will power power the bl with the additional options i chose. do you think it will power the bl 12" with the additional options i said above???? thanks i 'am also waiting for the response of sir nick and the other pro's of fi. thanks everyone

do you think my amp(dls a6 1200watts @ 1 ohm) can power the bl 12" with the additional options(chamfer and flatwind coil) efficiently???

Thanks! is it safe?? nothing will get burned or something?? coz someone told me to get a standard Q without bp options. but it's not one of my choices coz i want is spl, and the Q is for SQ.

and he also told be that my amp is not ideal for the BL. so i got worried coz something might happen to my amp.

what do you think?

thanks again!

when you add options to the BL, especially cooling, it can handle up to but no higher than 2000w of output clip-free.

I'll even tell you for full potential that the amp won't get the sub to max potential so you know what to do? build a larger enclosure so you can increase the efficiency. IT lowers power handling mechanically but is good because if you are trying to reach limits here that's one way to do it.

But you gotta know what to look for when going outside of company recommendations because if you havent done it before or not know what to look for then you aren't going to be warrantied if something gets damaged!

i see thanks, ill just make things clear, so ill go to the standard BL 12" without additional options.. thats what you're trying yo say right? and make a larger enclosure? like how big???

i dont know exactly... if you don't get any options then 2.5 -3.0 may be best. if you don't like the results, then make it bigger. Can't really just know when you reach mechanical limits without trial and error.

i see, il just tell my installer to make the best box for me.

but i can get the p chamfer right? coz it doesnt change the power handling of the sub right? it just lessens the pressure?? nad it is recommended by fi so i think i gota get it right??

Bro YOU ARE MAKING A MISTAKE!!! Again the BL can take 2000 watts. You are reading into things to deep! Remember you do NOT even want to add a second battery or even upgrade your stock one. As I understand it I like the same SPL as you and with the Fi lineup the Q and the SSD are your best choices!. In reading to deep you think that since the Q says SQ that it will not have the spl you are looking for. You are mistaken! The SPL guys associated w/ this site run many batteries and many amps on a single subwoofer. If you want something that plays music going down the road for 45 minutes each day and you want people to think you might have 2 15s of another brand in your car then the SSd w/options or Q w/o options will fit your amp nicely for that task. Daily is your only choice no matter what you choose if you want to play any kind of music at any level! So you know: SPL in correlation to what people here know and understand means you are going to enter a show, see how loud your system is, on a decibel meter, with a quick bump (aka burp/fart) on the volume knob, to play a 1-3 second note, at a certain frequency, that your box and car may or may not be most optimally tuned for, at the highest amplitude (loudness). again for 1-3 seconds. This may win you a trophy but many "SPL guys" do not even have mids, highs, and sometimes drivable vehicle in thier pursuit of that trophy. Did you now SPL guys can hook up 8 amps to a single sub? If you want to use the maximum potential of your amp while listening to music and have your friends in disbelief that only one sub is back there the Q w/o options would be my 1st choice. THE Q MIGHT JUST HAVE MORE SPL THAN YOU ARE LOOKING FOR!!!! I Promise~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Personally I am running a 15" BTL and I am switching to 4 SSD 18s w/ copper coils.

Good Luck

Are their any Fi Q guys that cann chime in on this one or anyone that has hear a Q? PLEASE Help this brother correct Q owners!
