washed the car...it still kind of makes me cry inside

Recommended Posts

i decided to give my car a wash. it was getting somewhat dirty. all clean! as you can see from the picture the clearcoat is on, but the paint faded underneath :icon_scratch:. eh well gonna take it to get painted. the dude that originally re-painted it, felt bad and said he would redo everything for 500.00, the price of supplies. not bad at all. im also going to see how much he would charge to buff out all the black paint on the trim to make it nice and shiny instead of repaint it. the trim is killing the look it should look very nice when im done with it.

so list of things to do on the exterior:

1. Paint

2. clean the trim

3. Replace the dew wipes (paid for and waiting for shipment)

3. New headlights

the good:

Is that an LSC? Looks like LSC wheels on it. I've always loved the Mark VII's. Easy car to make a sleeper, because most of the Mustang 5.0 parts fit on it.

I'd spend the $500 on mods instead

All of the 5.0L parts will fit. It's based on the same Fox platform. Only bad part is, the Lincoln weighs about 1000 more pounds.

Good looking car for it's age.

The headlights are an easy fix and no need to buy new. You can simply buff them with a buffing wheel and some plastic or soft cutting polish and they'll shine like new. No more haze.
