The upgrades are available to taylor each sub to an individuals goals and system design. They are to give the customers more options to work with.

sir, i need help in deciding because i saw scotts post and he said that the bp is just needed by those who want to push their sub to the limit.

i just want to get the most out of my sub and i want to get the flatwindcoil. im just having trouble with the bp. because scott said that it doesnt matter. would i get the bp option?? i have a dls ultimate series a6 amp. and i dont plan on getting a extra battery. ill just change my wiring gauge. if i get the bp will my stock battery be enough??

and whats the weight of an fi ssd 12 inches??? thanks

All depends on how much power your amp puts out...if it does over what we recommend RMS wise then it would be a smart decision to get the bp power option.

Thanks!

The A6 is good for 1200 watts (rated) at 1ohm. I would recommend getting the standard Q with no BP option. This amp is stabel to 1 ohm, so if you do a single sub, get the dual 2ohm voice coil configuration. The A6 is a bit strong for a single ssd without adding options. You really could go either way. My first suggestion, in my opinion, would be your best route.

I am not sure what the exact weight of the ssd 12 is, sorry.

Regards, Chris

if i will buy the bl 12" and have the dls a6 amp will you recommend me to get the flatwind coil option? you said that if my amps power is over the rms you recommended then it a wise decision to add the additional options but if i take the bl, its rms is 1000 watts plus the additional option and i have 1200 watts will it be sufficient?? will it be a wise decison? or i'll just get the ssd and just get the additional options?? or get the bl without the additional options??? i just need to make the best decison here... thanks everyone!

The stock Q will be fine with that amp, so long as you are mindful of the volume knob and the gains.

Thanks!

you mean the BL????? i just want to maximize what i have.... and at the same time i dont want anything to break down..

if i want to add the additional options on my bl 12" (flatwind coil, chamfer) will my a6 power it efficiently?

and i will choose the daily, dual 2 ohms, and universal.

thanks sir Nick

No, not the BL. The standard Q with no BP option will be perfect. Make sure to set your gains correctly. That amp can drive a BL, it just isn't ideal for your amp.

DLS A6 huh great Sound Quality amp 1 12 SPL? The Q is gonna get down. It's not going to not boom because it's SQ. THe Q is the best match for your amp. Do you have mids and highs and listen to music? Or are you really, really, really into SPL!?? I fyou just want SPL sell your DLS to someone who wants to listen to music and get a BTL with SPL option fully loaded. Save all the money you would have spent on mids, highs, and their amp. Buy extra batteries and go when you an SPL contest! Wait didn't you say you didn't want to have an extra battery? Now I'm confused! Are you sure your into SPL. IF so WHY? I mean it why do you care about SPL? Is the Q sounding better yet? Do you want to hear music or just a slurpy burpy?

Now you have 3 choices get the Q w/ no options

SSD w/ flatwind and BP option (at this point what the heck)

Or do what I said above (whatever that was)

Do you not like music?

Dude the Q ROCKS and you will LOVE IT!!!!!!???????? If you like a little somethin' called music (WELL?) GL

i listen to music and i have mids and highs but i prefer spl more than sq. and the btl is over my budget and its not one of my options. and i can't sell my dls coz my budget will be short to buy a new one. i just want more bass...

why is the bl with no additional options not included in your choices??

thanks man!

The BL is an option but so is 2 bums fighting over a garbage can. The BL is a choice sub cut people put up to 2k watts on that baby. Don't be scared of the Q being a SQ woofer. It will give you more bass than you are thinking you'll end up with in the right enclosure. Basically the Q can and will be the woofer of your dreams. I understand completely now what you want and are trying to say. LISTEN the Q is for you!!!! Order the Q w/o options and you will have amazing abilities to get LOUD and listen yo music - A perfect match for your DLS - A6 Nuthin wrong with SQ at 1200 watts trust me!!! I have a BTL now and am switching to a more SQ oriented woofer and using 418s think about the SQ there and w / 418s I'm not tring to not have some SPL just don't care to compete SPL. LATER BRO

i think this is the problem the Q is perfect for my amp(dls a6) but i prefer spl than sq.

but 418FI said that the Q can give some bass... now im really confused....

i think nick and scott can jump in to help us. lol!

Three people in this thread have answered your question on more than one occassion. Buy whatever you want. Noone here will tell you what to do with your money. If you want the best matching Fi sub for that amplifier, GET THE Q. Period.

Dude Get the Q Right now I have A BTL. I am switching to SSD w/ copper coils 418s. The Q was seriously considered. You do NOT prefer SPL. You prefer to listen to music. at 800 and 1000 watts respectively neither the Q nor the SSD are soft by any means. PLEASE LISTEN get the Q. I am telling you what to do w/ your money. (going out on a limb) You will have a woofer that is BEYOND what you are expecting in SPL and SQ. Does this answer your question. I am going to put one more in there for you. Find a Realistic sub by Radio Shack! or buy the Q. TRUST ME I wouldn't steer you wrong. If the Q is not what you expect then you are going to need to buy some extra batteries. Don't know how else to tell you!!! SPL guys have extra batteries. You do not what to even upgrade your battery. You are not even a 1/10 close to caring about SPL as far as the people on here that are into SPL. You have read to deep into things. You are getting a 1000 Watt woofer and will be in complete control (thats a good thing) with your DLS A6 1200rms amplifier. If you buy the Q and don't like it then A get the Realistic and B sell it for the same amount you bought it for. The only way YOU can go wrong is if you don't buy a Q. REAAALY Trying to spell it out simply for you!!!!

Be Cool Buy a Q Hurry before someone else buys yours dude!!! Get your Q sent to you not someone else. I am not kidding are you still reading this BRO STOP reading this and order your Q. Uh oh there goes another one. Dude somebody just bought your Q. You might as well go to the mall. Huhhehehe
