My nightmare

Recommended Posts

Long story short i ended up wiring my Sundown 1000 watt amp positive positive(instead of negative) to my fi q postive negative wires. Sub only sounds good on lows(like 40 and below) anything else and it just sounds like garbage. My question is since this counts as user damage is it worth getting it repaired by the sundown and fi? or if you guys have any suggestions on anything.......because im guessing either of the 2 can be damaged.

PS the thing that sucks the hardest about all this is i just purchased and installed my rainbow 265's and now that it was finally complete other than dynamat :(

HALP :(

You didn't harm anything. It sounds like you just wired it out of phase.

Switch the wires and I bet it'll sound better to you...

hmmmm...............i wonder if i have my gains wrong or something, maybe i have to set my low pass filter lower than 80 because it still sounds off, like not hitting as low as before.....it was a noticable improvement though. It was out of phase, but now i have to figure out how to make it sound like a fi q again. should of never changed decks. :(
