GOT THE BL TODAY!!

I got my BL in today! Man is it sweet! I heard the UPS truck pull up and ran to the door. I got it, opened it and went to 2 shops to get quotes on installing it.. The first store I get to the guy is like "what brand is this?" I said FI "who" FI "who" F.....I... He is like "oh ..ok.." then he goes and "inspects" the woofer, kinda tooted his nose up and was like "how many watts you running to it?" i was like 1000 to 1500, then hes like "oh so like 500RMS?" I said no 1000 to 1500 RMS..lol then he has this shocked look on his face and said "yeah I dont think this thing will take 1000-1500 RMS, I mean its got a big magnet, but i dont think it will handle that kinda power".... I felt a little disrespected so I got my Ish and went to the next place. funny thing is that guy carries RE Audio..

the next shop was like what is this? i told them and they were like sweet seems pretty sturdy, and they were real cool, so the 15min drive to the next city was well worth it so ill be letting them do the install.... i think Imma be the only guy in the city with a Fi.. YES

Do you guys think there is much of a difference between 3.5 cubic feet and 4 cubic feet, cause i think imma go with the 3.5 cubic foot box, cause I do want a little trunk left???

Lol 2 shops did that to me with my icons. There like " how much power can they handle" I am like " about 1000 watts" they say na thats peak power whats there RMS" im like that is RMS lol then the next shop

"ya i need a box for 2 15" " how much power will they be getting" I said about 1000" He said ight 1000 is probably like 500 rms each

when i went to have my box built.. the guy asked be to bring one of the subs by so that he could make sure its a snug fit.... i brought one of my sub to the shop... the guys were all like whoa.... nice sub... so we compared it to all the subs that have,,, JL, mtx mojo. alpine. and I AM the only man in town with Fi's

Yeah, I went to 3 local shops asking for quotes on a box for Icons (15's if this jack@ss ever buys my JL's), they all said "I wouldn't mess with internet companies". They went on to push their products so I said goodbye!! Not to intellegent for any business that wants to make any $$$.

Yeah I just receive my bl l12' loaded sub a few days ago and like the other guy I went out to several places to get it put into a custom box. When I walked into the store #1, the rep said he could give two reasons why I shouldn't have paid for that sub.......never got the reason either. He quoted me like 250 for 2.5 cubes? I explained that I am saving up for a Sundown 1500. Again he tried to tell me that he never heard from anyone named FI or Sundown and should stay away from online companies......he asked how many watts will it hold? I said it is recc. for 1500watts so he tries to pull off the shelf some other amp which was like $999.00, and tried to sell it to me (and it was like 500 watts or something) and totaly was downing Sundown because he never heard of it.....needless to say, I left. The next guys shop I went to, the guy was much better and proffessional too, but he was totaly blown away by my Fi bl sub. He did say that it reminded him of the old basket design of I think he said Legacy? he installed and was impressed too. Sent him to Fi's site.

I want to say that this single sub in a custom 2.5 box tuned to 32hz. is totally way better than the two alpine type r 12's in had before. Probably twice as loud and twice the low end tones too......I am very impressed with my purchase from FI and I tell everone I come in contact with.....I am currently trying to figure out my new camcorder and make a video to up load .....coming soon.( may have to ask for help getting it posted)......................G

When I got my shop to installed my icons they didnt ask really anything about them. All they said was after they installed them and started playin them they were like" ya you deffenetly got the loudest chit around. and just looked at me like they were pissed

Yea, if you to a shop and have them service anything for you with equipment that they either do not sell or never heard of, it's like, Yes!, we get to go into attack mode!!!

It's pointless to argue with them when they attempt to lie to you based on assumptions because if you try to get the better of them by letting them know the truth, they might turn you down on service period if they think all u r there for is to bash what they do.

Now, i don't let shops install anything for me but i do know a shop around here in my area that will install ANYTHING in your car, they don't care. Their prices are high but i don't see what the point is of a company trying to turn you away from something you ALREADY OWN and came their just to install it!, hehe. It isnt like you are gonna go... you know what? ur right, shop!I'm just gonna throw this sub away i got 2 hrs ago and buy this sub that 5 million other people have around here because i know what it's potential is.... the whole world does....

Shops make money regardless, don't see the problem. The worst that SHOULD happen is they find out that these internet companies actually produce equipment that may outdo some or all of their product line and the best thing they can do is research them self.

So, what i do is just install everything myself(i'm not lying), and when i need something small, like wire, instead of ordering it online sometimes, i'll just go to the shop wangin. If they ever ask what i got in there, i'll tell them with no intentions of them goin out and checkin it out because they usually wont. I tell them in a way that the customers get curious about.

I already got the tint guy at one shop braggin about my car because the windows are almost break proof. Gotta keep it on the low or else everybody would know...
