Trying to decide on a new amp.

I have a 4 ohm sub so should i be looking for an amp that has the subs recommened rms at 4 ohms or how do i pick the right amp. i know thats not real clear but i couldnt figur out how else to word it.

I always suggest getting the biggest amp you can afford. You can always turn the bass down, but it will only go up so far. Alot of people will suggest getting an amp right at the RMS rating of your sub, but if you go bigger you will have more a lot better sound and if you ever change subs you don't have to buy another amp. What is the RMS of the sub you want to power up? What is your budget? What brands do you have at your favorite local car audio dealer?

that doesnt really answer my question. if an amp has 750w at 2ohms and the same amp has 350w at 4ohms, will i get the 750w or 350w into a sub that has a single 4ohm coil?
