I am getting AA Assassin Series 12"D4 and I want to make a box for them in my tech class. My goal is to make a transmission type box. I am just not sure what you need to do it right. Like how to tune how big you need to make the vent. I want to make the box about 4-5 ft. If anyone can help me that would be great.

Unless you have an SUV or cargo van, I'd hold off on making a TL. Even a folded line takes up a fair amount of space...5 cubic feet for a 12" TL really is tiny.
