1000d to kicker L5's wiring question

Recommended Posts

I just bought a sae-1000d and i will be hooking it up to 2 kicker DVC L5's. I really have no idea how to hook DVC subs to this amp. I know that the 1000d has two speaker outs, and didn't know if that would make this install easier or not.

So, basically I am just wondering what the most productive way of hooking this up would be. Thanks!

Those outputs are bridged internally, there's only one channel.

What ohm is the L5's? You don't want to run the 1000D under 1 ohm. Hopefully you have dual 4's.

Wire them like this:

Since the sundown 1000d has two speaker outputs(i know they come together on the inside) would it be the same if I ran positive and negative from each output on the amp to 1 positive and 1 negative on each sub and then ran the positive and the negative to the other positive and negative on that sub. Basically doing the same as the picture above, but doing it as if I was running 1 DVC sub from a mono amp???

i dont know if that makes any sense...
