1500 watts on a loaded 12" FI bl?

will a sundown 1500 be too much for an FI AUDIO 12" BL (with dual2, pchampher and flatwind options?)....on FI's site they say that these are 1200watts rms? any more info?

I'm running 1500 on each of my 15's, they all have the same size coils though so you should be fine.

So long as your careful it'l be fine...if you clip it and play it below tuning odds are you'll kill it :).

i dont know what "clipping means" nor how to avoid this? or is this good?

Pretty much keep your bass boost on 0 and set your gains correctly (have a professional do it if you are lazy)

im kinda confused on this too,,, right now i have a rockford fosgate p8002 it came with a bass knob.. does this mean i have to always have that all the way down ??? if so why did they even make a bass knob for??? and on the gain is there an easy way to set it up?? i have a fully loaded bl15 can i still burn my sub even though my amp only makes arrund 950 rms??? thanks.. :gayhaaay1:

I'm not sure how the bass knob on your amp works, but Bass Boost meaning the potentiometer on the end of the amp. Some bass knobs might be a bass boost, but the Sundown 1500D has a remote gain knob. Basically, you turn the knob to full when you set the gain on your amp, then you can turn it down from the front seat.

There are posts on this forum that discusses setting gains correctly, look around for them, and learn how to set your gains properly. Thats the key to keep your system working.
