Follow up feedback needed on OEM units

Recommended Posts

I posted a while back on my company's development of factory replacement radios - just want some follow up feedback from everyone.

We made radios for Toyota, GM, Ford, Chrysler and have some more on the way including a Honda CRV and some universal fits.

I've gotten some requests from customers and dealers. I'd like to know what other vehicles everyone thinks would be good to have. . . radios with the factory look and aftermarket features.

What do you think and what have you heard?

Got any questions or comments - please let me know.

Probably the higher end models with integrated radios would be smart, but harder to make. Stuff like Nissan where they now mold the radio into the dash, bleck.

Nissan is something we are looking at for later in the year - not sure which models as of yet. We obviously need to make radios for popular vehicles as well being cost effective.

It is difficult to accomodate for some because certain manufacturers have completely different head units in their vehicles. We are making the factory look radios for manufacturers whose vehicles have somewhat a universal fit.

Which higher end models do you think?

Infiniti and BMW aren't exactly possible. From what we've looked at, those cars normally come standard with nav systems. There has been a request for them, but again there is the cost effective factor. Not to mention the dash for some Infinitis are integrated with the heater - we would have to replace the whole dash.

Any other ideas or features for our product line from anyone?

Including Satellite radio and perhaps a digital output? If you do high end decks a 6 channel digital output would be sweet.

Something to that would integrate with the Alpine PXA-H701
