Well the market has a good number of lower power fairly docile 8" drivers. But not many beefier drivers that can take a little bit of power and still sound good. Look how popular the RL-i and DD 1508 are in the on line community, because of the higher power amplifiers and more custom installations. As for a smaller version, if this one is a success and we see there is a need for a smaller 200 watt model then we could add it down the road.

What i'm curious to know is if this 8 can be optimally ran in a 0.5 cu ft ported box.

If it can, hell yea because that would definitely beat 1 10 compared to 2 of these 8s.

from the looks of it i would take a guess at 450 minimum just my guess though, man it looks great though..like i want to drill a hole in it and stick a chain thru the hole and wear it around my neck..lol
