Does anyone know if the Symbilink cables from Zapco will work in the balanced input of the Hifonics Brutus and Zues amp? :puzzled:

gonna have to do some looking for the pin positions of the cables and match them up to make sure. When i was running my zaps back in the day we found a diagram but that is long gone on my end.

I would choose Hifonics only if I were to compete and need loads of power ;)

You've got the Symblink, get Zapco amps :)

He never said anything bad about Zapco, but was inferring that the Hifonics isn't really worth looking into.

If you are going to have the balanced signal of the Symbilink, it is worth saving for the nicer amplifiers.

I gotta say, I bought a Hifonics bxi1606 to replace the zapco 500.1 (needed cash so I sold it) and I was really impressed. The sound quality is not quite up to the Zapco level, but its good, I got a ton more power, my lights dont dim as much when the bass hits. And it doesnt get as hot or shut down as easy. The most impressive part of the whole thing is I paid 1/3 what I paid for Zapco. Not sure I will stay with Hifonics, but I am sure liking what I hear so far. I would give the Hifonics Brutus amps a big thumbs up. :joshers3:

quality and hifonics can't be used in the same sentence, sorry you had to short change your setup. Personally I'd make sure you sell that thing before the warranty is up.

Why are you interested in using the balanced signal?

Because I like the way it sounds in the Zapcos, and the lowered noise floor. Hopefully I will gain the same results in the Hifonics. Funny thing is, I change my equipment so much I probably will change amps before I get around to hooking up the symbilink.

AS long as your ears and wallet are happy, that is all that matters in the end.
