New Vectra Box with Old BMs - very impressive stuff

Hope you`re all doing fine

I strill haven`t had a chance to alter the Escort install.

But I have been messing about with my vectras boot install.

Check this out:

See this weird box...

6th Order bandpass or simply a tunnel in a boot.

This box is far better than any box I have ever made

It plays low.

It plays loud.

It plays a very wide musical frequency with accuracy and is practically flat in it`s overall frequency response.

O.K. The system specs.

Vectra Sri - Boot System.

1x HMM Box- That`s what I`m calling it - After the ideas from a guy called Henry & Mazdawg & Me making the thing to see what happens.

1x SPLd S-1200d (1200wrms @ 1ohm)

2x Brand new - Stereo Integrity 12" Baby Magnums (500wrms power handling per sub)

1x 70Ah Leisure battery

1x Sony Cheapo Head Unit

THE SCORES :thumbsup:

Using only 1200wrms of power this system does the following.

Total Average Score = 141.4dB (I`m confident this score will get louder... )

Peak Freeq = 142.8dB @ 22Hz

40Hz= 140.3dB

33Hz= 140.0dB

25Hz= 141.2dB

20Hz= 142.7dB

10Hz= 130.7dB

And I tested it using the dB drag rules too.

Readings taken from 60Hz downwards + the ((((Propper Droppers)))) SPL frequency format.

60Hz= 138.0dB

55Hz= 140.3dB

50Hz= 141.7dB

45Hz= 141.7dB

40Hz= 140.3dB

33Hz= 139.9dB

25Hz= 137.9dB

20Hz= 136.5dB

Is that good stuff or what!!!! ? ? ?

Don`t forget my last ported box need 2500wrms to hit the same sort of dB figures.

The ported box never played over such a wide frequency range either.

This box is doing more or less identical scores using.

Only 1200wrms. Half the power of the previous system!!

Over a much wider range of frequencies.
