Just curious, where did you find the larger tube?

Ordered it from Lowes. think it was $125 6 years ago. I do not even know if they can order it anymore.

It came in a 12 ft section. I built a sub identical to this one with a blueprint 1803 in it. Ended up with smaller subs in my new house, so I sold the 1803 and tube to a guy in Dallas. I sold the other 1803 before I built the second tube to Chad at AA (long before AA). . .

Built another sub for a friend with a Stryke AV15 in it.

This sub with the IXL-18 is the last of that 12 ft section. . .

Sub was up and running last night. Pretty incredible driver for the money. 700 watts to it was shaking the house pretty good.

I should have got a picture of the finished legs. We added 2" PVC couplings to them to look like feet.

Skip is going to bedliner spray the caps and legs and cover the tube in leather.

I will have more pictures soon. . . .This thing is crazy.

Using the 1000 watt Dayton sub amp that is actually mounted in a chassis:

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=300-810

Skip got his while they were on sale for $250 with free shipping. Man that was a bargin - this is one sweet amp.

This sub rattles everything in his entire house. Apparently everything in his neighbor's house too, since his neighbor called the cops last night. . . .

Officer knocked on the door, Skip answers:

Officer - "Whose truck is that out on the street?"

Skip - "That belongs to Ben, he is right inside here"

Officer - "I need to speak to him please"

Ben - "Yes sir?"

Officer - "You think it is funny sitting in a residential neighborhood playing loud music?"

Note - Ben has a couple of stickers on his truck leading the officer to believe he has a loud

stereo, but he does not.

Ben - "No sir - There is not a loud stereo in my truck"

Officer - (does not look happy) "Are you sure about that?"

Skip - "The stereo has all been removed from that truck. Maybe what someone heard was this" (points at sub).

Office - "OMG, where did you get that thing???"

After a quick explaination, the officer said he needed to keep it down and left shaking his head and laughing. . .

The main speakers - Carver AL-III 6' tall ribbons driven by a 375 x 2 RMS old scool Carver amp.

42" plasma TV

Call of Duty 4 on XBox360 is just nuts.

I can't wait to build another house so I can get my (4) Avalanche 15's in low tuned ported enclosures. . . sealed and EQ'd is nice, but ported will be killer.
