All i did was use the calculator from the link on my first post, and then drew from that guide on sketchup. is this design practical/plausible with the Q15?

Looks like a solid design... although I have never been a big fan of running more than one turn in a port.

Thanks,

Scott

If you have the tools to dado the ends of the port walls, you can use PVC to smooth them out. Works great for multiple u-turns like that.

Thanks for the input! Couple questions:

Is the 'dado' process all tablesaw work?

What's the benefit of the curved ports? better airflow, less port noise?

45's of MDF will have a simliar effect, correct?

The Dado blade is a blade that is slanted and essentially "wobbles" in the saw. Yes its a table saw.

It gives you the ability to cut a wider track in the wood without having to have a blade that is 1" to 1 1/2" thick.

Can you post the link to that calculator on here I can't find the other one.

http://www.subwoofertools.com/forum/ported...mp;Fs=&CE=0

The calculator is at the bottom of the page, just fill in your stats.

UPDATE:

I bought the MDF, wheeled out the tablesaw and made all my cuts.

DRY FIT:

Gonna wait for the sub and the wiring terminal to come before I make any additional cuts just to be on the safe side.
