IXL 18 Help!!

I have the IXL 18 Just sitting in my closet and i am wanting to put it to use. I was considering using it as a loud speaker for parties and such. Could anyone help me out with this. Like what to power it and such. I am more of a car audio guy so i don't have much experience with these kinds of things.

What type of budget are you looking at for a Professional Audio amp? You'll need at least 800w @ 4 ohms.

Im in Ohio but my budget is hopefully around 200 but if i need to up that i can i just need to know what i need or what i need to do. I just want something to make this sub loud enough for parties

Get yourself a BASH 500 watt amp and call it a day:

Should be enough to get the IXL moving. For your parties you would be more after the mid-bass than the ultra lows, so consider building small(er) and tuning at 32-35Hz.
