I just got one of these not too long ago and finally hooked it up to my VLX-400 and my USA-150. Now my question is the setting of the "gain" on the crossover. From what I understand in the 2000 manual, that knob controls input voltage to the the amp from 0-9 volts. I have it at 3/4 on every channel. I didn't have time for long term testing and nothing sounded distorted or anything. I just want to make sure I'm not going to damage my speakers by having it at that point. So my question is, it it actually a gain knob, or does it act like a line driver and just increase the voltage while turning it up (obviously unlike a line driver, it is not adding voltage to the 8 volts already.)
