ta92001.

anyone messed with this amp? rated 3k @ 1 ohm, birthsheets supposedly read around 3.8k @ 14.4v

true? good amps? looking to get one to be run @ 1 ohm on an 18" mt.

also looking at getting the ta91002 (750w x 2 @ 1 ohm) and the ta7402 (i think thats it)

discuss.

link please...

if its like the 1 my co-worker has it is a solid amp, his is an Elite series and has the same or simular specs as you posted...

he is pushing 2x Mtx 9500 15" subs ... doing 150.5 @ 45Hz

boxx is ported to 35Hz...

i personally think its overpriced...

i could buy 4 amps for what he paid for that 1 :suicide-santa:

for my mids.

lord baccus- never heard any other problems bout these amps except from you..

as well for me iv never had a problem with MTX amps :)

we found the problem his positive cable @ the distro block was loose and Arching so the amp went into protection...

we got it to reset... its fine now... just happened to hapen wile you posted this thread...

i do not have a problem with the amp save it cost too much...

i can buy amps just as powerful with a lot less money.

(Cough* Sundown Cough*) :slayer:

but if you like Mtx i love it :lickscreen:

i really wanna run a sundown 3000d, and its not really that i "like" mtx (ive never used them) im just going by amps that have a single 2 channel big enough for all 16 mids. i know i could run less mids and just go with sundown amps, or use like 2 sundown amps for the mids, but i want a maximum of 3 amps (mids, tweets, sub) and i want all 3 to match 100% same brand and same model line. sundowns 2 ch isnt 1 ohm stable stereo, and not enough power :( or id deff run that.

i really dont like posting pics here becuase everyone just talks chit, i dont care really as im still gonna do it, but the thread will end up locked anyways..but ill post a few pics.

this is where 4 mids and 4 tweets will be: (that pod is getting glassed, then covered, there will also be a flush trim panel that covers the gaps on the sides/top, and makes the sub and removable port sit flush)

DSCF2062.jpg

and this is how im gonna do my door panels. dont mind the holes i cut on the bottom, thats how i was originally going to make them (mids along the bottom) and i had to notch the panel so the magnet would go through, to clear the seat, but like always, i changed my mind lol.

6 tweets will be above the top row of mids

DSCF21651.jpg

or do you like this better? either way i go, i have to somehow get some sort of handle or something on there that flows good, so you have something to pull the door shut, its a daily driver and dont want to have doors with nothing to pull on to close it lol

beautiful setup. wall wise, dont know what your doing with the doors, its gonna be interesting to see how that turns out. Ive been considering redoing mine but eeeeehhhhh havent had the energy lol :cookiemonster:

im running a te1501d on a single 15 3.6 tuned to 32 hz and its a great amp. No issues as of yet. run the old school mtxs for some time as well and love em. solid amps that do over power, although the retail pricing is high ;)

pretty much mirrors the specs of my 1501. i got mine from a member on caraudio forums for 290 just a couple weeks old. even got the info to setup warranty :)

good looking though. When you get a chance could you update us on the door panels. im really interested to see how your gonna do them. I can see the flowing of the speakers, but really at a loss for the handles. both to close and unlock it. cant visualize where thats going. thx

well the handles will be in the same spot, i could actually relocate them to the kick panels if i want to, but im not gonna bother with that.
