Which Subs to buy?

Recommended Posts

I have 4 15" kicker's in my car right now running off 2 hifonics 2006's. i am thinking about putting either 4 18's into a truck or 2 18's of the trunk of my car. i want to flex and have a lot of bass. i already sound loud i my car but i want more. do you think i am jumping out there to far with purchasing 4 fi btl 18's? and if so what sloutions do any of you have for me to get flex and more bass? Oh just fyi the car is a lincoln towncar

4 18's would definitely be loud with the right box, right amp and good electrical.

Perhaps you should start with the supporting gear. Have you done any upgrading so far?

what year lincoln? cause i have had then all and you will never fit 4 fi btl15's in that trunk with proper air space. and i think you would be suprised that 2 15 btls will sound like 4 kicker 15's................. kicker is trashy.... yeah i said it

ok a 93, i had a 95 that i sold last year, i have 2 15's and 4 12's all jl,

i now have a 20001 with 2 fi bl 15's

your trunk is a little bit bigger you can fi 2 15 bls, for sure and that will sound alot better in a good box, but you will not be able to use the same amps,

you must upgread your electrical system.... do teh big 3 and choose some subs. and then an amp

He'll need more than just the big three if he goes with two BTL's and wants to power them to the flexing point of his car.

The big 3? what is that? Battery, alternator, and? And what is wrong with the hifonics that i am running? Are u saying that hifonics is trashy to? If so doesnt surprise me. I am about to sell all that chit anyway. i am starting to see what subs and amps all the bassheads go to.

What kind of power are you talking about? what do you need to flex? one person who replied said i needed new amps. i have 2 hifonics 2006's right now. they are rated at 2000 watts a piece. that isnt clean enough of sufficient power for the btl's?

then another thing is the seats that i have in there. that car is built like a tank.....at least considering what i want. does the leather (its really vinyl) affect what i wanna do?
