3000d questions

Recommended Posts

Several have tested them in Street -- Ray Farmer on Team Sundown was seeing ~7600 from his pair on a DD Battery. He posts on the forum so perhaps he can chime in with more details for you.

Hell ya,

I consistantly got 7400+ watts, with the maxx-link. Without the maxx-link it was above 6000 watts per strapped pair. So the maxx link gives a stronger signal to the amps. Now I must remind you, this is with a street A setup and a strong battery with the car completely shut off.

Jacob, what can the SAZ series take as far as input voltage? If the Maxxlink puts out a stronger signal, what is the RCA range?

What voicecoil configuration do you use, I will be using four 3000ds in Street-Max 1-2.

They are rated for 6 volts input.

One of the other features of the Maxx-Link is that it straps the amps differently so the slave amp is less likely to go into protection under a full out SPL burp.

I use dual ones, and strap a pair of tens to one ohm so each amp sees 0.5 ohms. You may be able to strapp lower than 0.5ohms if you are burping with a power above 12 volts or if the car is running. But that question is more suited for Jacob. Secondly what the maxx-link does is reverse phase the slave amp so it runns as a master amp. So you strapp the amps as you normally do with out using the link cable. This enables the amps to run at a stronger signal. And also the maxxlink is some what of a pre-amp. It allows you to raise the input RCA voltage. Example. head unit gives off 2volt you can adjust the maxxlink so the amps can receive 5 or 6 volts.
