aight so tonight i metered my van for the first time. only burped 3 times so i havent got a chance to figure out what my peak frequency is. if u guys have been watching my build on here or other forums u know what im running and how its designed. install is nowhere complete and this is just the start.

right now i only have an MA Audio 802sx for power.

amp: MA Audio 802sx

subs: Adassa Audio SPL18's

batters: 16 16v Powermasters

VAN: Ford Aerostar

i burped at 45hz and did a 154.1 sealed on the dash.

in a few weeks ill hopefully be ordering my 3 SUndown 3000d's to run on the subs and hopefully gain quite a bit.

proof!!

lots of ppl had thier doubts with this install. i did it from scratch and so far its doing well.

haha it was a 4 18" box and it is 48" wide.

that was at 45hz and i only burped 3 times so i dont even know whta my peak freq is. i had to leave so i didnt get a chance to play with the meter long enough. but for not being complete im happy with my score :) watch out 160 ;)

Only thing weird that I saw was power to the battery bank. You used 10 (?) runs of 1/0awg to the first set of five batteries but then only used one 1/0awg jumper to get to the next two sets.

You've got all that bandwidth so to speak, getting power to the bank but then you have a huge bottleneck jumping from row to row.

Yes, plenty of layers.

only reason its really that thick is because i needed to get rid of some cube of the box and i needed to lengthen the port which it did both for me but then decided to try something different and cut the large holes in the back plate and hopefully act more like a giant speaker pushing air back instead of 3 different speakers pushin air straight back. if that makes sense.

If you would evenly distribute those wires that come back across the whole battery bank....you might be surprised at how much you'll gain! A jumper on each end just isn't enough.

whats your opinion on having the back of the van look something like this? not a complete drawing but a rough design.

that would look good. trim it to match the doors.

i agree with the post by shavenranger. distribute the wires across all the banks, with extra jumpers on teh opposite ends. should help with voltage and looks.

can't wait to see this with the sundownz in there!

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:
