Pioneer Premier 490ib

Im installing this unit in a 2001 tahoe. Im having trouble with it. I bought an install kit, i think the # is 99-3002. But i think it might need a mounting sleeve for it. Has anyone had any experience installing Premier headunits, im not sure exactly what i need?

Usually, the mounting sleeve for the HU comes with it

Well, i got it from onlinecarstereo.com. Are you saying that the 490ib has to have the mounting sleeve or that the models that do have to have it usually come with it?

Every head unit comes with a "mounting sleeve" or cage. It might already be on the deck and you just need to pull up the tabs so that it stays in the mounting bracket.
