About Sundown Audio?

Recommended Posts

I know that they offer the SD1 and SD1v.2 and that they are coming out with the nightshade but the SD1v.2 is too small for me, does not take enough power and the nightshade takes plenty of power but it appears to be geared towards full blown SPL, correct me if I'm wrong. I was wondering if there are going to be any subs to fill the gap between these woofers, a good daily driving sub that can take a good 2-2.5kw RMS. I was also wondering about the amps. I know that the 1500 will do around 2kw and the 3000 will do around 3.5-4kw. However I was wondering if there are going to be any amps that do in between, maybe a SAE-2000 or 2500. Let me know any info thank you.

Get either a BTL or a Nightshade...if you aren't looking for SPL, why run that much power? :)

The Nightshade is a daily friendly SPL sub. It's fine to run day to day.

There will be an SAZ-2000D sometime next year.

Im pretty sure it will be getting around 2500rms...thats sweet. So Im assuming that pricing will be in between the 1500Dand the 3k? Why dont u guys do a daisy chain master/slave hook up instead of bridging just 2 together? Like the Rockford powers are. That way it would be more easier to setup more amps.

I am not looking for all out SPL but I do want it stupid loud for daily use. The SAZ-2000 sounds like what I am looking for probably do 2.5kw and more. And I am looking for a sub that is loud and sounds good like my HD3 15.

my .o2 is find a sub with an Fs of 34 / this will allow you to use it in a Street beat boxx at 34Hz / but has the potential of going from SB to SPL boxx ported around 54Hz and freeking wanggggggg............

i'm sure others will have some reason to dispute me but im not doing so bad with this rule of thumb...

if the Fs of the cone is to low you will have to port the boxx lower and the sub will suck @ SPL

fi the Fs of the cone is to high it will wang on SPL but not do so well with Bottom end Bass

im sure i have a half@ssed gripp on this ...

i get a lot of 1st place trophy's with the help of a lot of GREAT people...

be advise that there is a lot more to T/S than iv gone into but this is a working theory of mine... :domoslay:
