Broke the lights. :o

Recommended Posts

Yeah. Yesterday, I was slamming, and playing some tones. Today, most of the fluorescent lights in the next room don't turn on. That room is separated by two double walls though. Coincidence? The bulbs aren't broken, but they don't ignite, like the starter is busted. Just wondering if others have had similar problems in their HT.

They're on a different circuit, and one of the fixtures on the switch works. (Theres six fixtures on one switch)

Damn, that means I've got about eight ballasts to replace. >.<

Any way to prevent this from happening again?

Somehow, I'm thinking that that would cost a little more in electricity. I'm thinking I'll set the fixtures on rubber blocks or something to dampen them, or something. I can't be blowing lights every time I feel the need to rock the block. :X

Replace the ballast.

Sonic waves can damage them.

Do you have any evidence to support this? The lamp is far more fragile than the ballast, especially if it's magnetic. I've never heard anything like this.
