its beautiful. 60 amps of fusing in a SQ amp :) its about 14" x 8" good size amp. .004 THD thats the best, and 1 ohm stable stereo. YOu can check out the guts over at ROE's amp guts section model XM-5046. I also picked up a ALpine 7949 to go with it(full copper chassis, preamp, no power) like the 7909. Will make for a sweet front end. :)

Now if you could get ahold of an XES-P1 and XES-X1 you would really have something.

I have a alpine 7949 for a deck, it'd be sweet to use the xe digital crossover. but the preamp-x-over set would be sweet :)

I'll check it out. Someone told me the made in japan sony was good, I think the one I listed was. But obviously nobody wanted that one, and it is kind of small.

That does look nice.

Sony used to make pretty good stuff before, but I think their quality is slipping. We have two ancient Sony TVs, one must be over 20 years old, the other about 20 years old, and they're going strong. We had another Sony Wega XBRWTFBBQ TV, and that crapped out in three-four years. It was a known problematic series of TV, iirc. Not to mention hardly any of the stuff is Made In Japan anymore.

I deliver and install audio/video and appliances for allving. and yes the new sony vegas have gone down hill but the old stuff its still top of the line.. I just found a set of the old dual mono amps on e-bay. the 2100. sweet dual mono design.. does 700@2, w/ almost no thd :) But I agree with you that the quality has gone down hill especially with all the new high powered d class monos with thd through the roof, and subs with a effieciency rating of like 86@ 1w-1m :) I'd like to see a comeback of the medium powered subs, with a efficiency of 90-92, with lower power requirements.. would make me happy :) I'd really like a set of the old soundstream reference 10's to go with the mobile es amps :) WOuld be nice..

I have a mobile es amp I'm trying to sell, but I have no idea what to ask for it. How much did you pay for your amp? Do you know a good resource for a good price?

Wow I just saw this and saw that I posted wayyyy back. Irnoically, I have that same amp mentioned and am running it to my front stage. Bridged front 2 channels and rear 2 channels for sound goodness.

How ironic.

I have a Sony Mobile ES' XM-7547.... I think the RCA inputs broke or something simple like that. It has full power on and some static as I wiggle the RCA's.

It was very nice when it worked right. :)
