I've had a Mag D2 for about a month now. And ever since I've had it, when my hu is at high volumes and the bass is hitting hard, it skips like crazy. I have just a normal $150 JVC hu, it sucks and I'm saving up for a new one. But are there any suggestions to help keep it from skipping? (foam or any padding?)

you can cut up a piece of one of thsoe "egg crate" things that you're supposed to put on your bed to make it more comfortable and pack it around it. Just be sure to not cover any vents on the HU.

Go through and make sure all of the nuts and bolts are still tight.

Foam pads do work sometimes, but as mentioned above ... don't cover any vent holes.
