The tint and lights look sharp, in my opinion.

It is too bad that the bumpers, especially the rear, are not color matched to the body.

is the light hitting the pass. side just right so the back up part looks a little under blacked, or is it just me?

it's probably because of the angle the shot was taken at. plus if you notice in the third "After" pic look at the cars shadow, the sun is playing a role in making it seem like it seem like the passenger sides lighter.

edit: oh yeah, and the smoked tails look really nice, question: are they film tinted or spray tinted? i got a quote to spray tint my tails and was considering it but would leave me w/o a drivable vehicle for like 2 weeks.

I read online that u can buy a can of clear coat black paint from an autoshop for 20 bucks take off ur taillights and just do it. Heres a tutorial that i read on a site.

one of my concers about doing the tailights myself is actualy messing them up. plus from what it looks like you lose the glossy effect that the tai lights give being they are plastic and all. if you notice in this pic of the DIY tail you can see the texture of the paint.

VHT Nightshade is made specifically for this, I think you can order it from Summit thats what Im going to use when I do my tail lights, you can do more or less coats if you want it darker or lighter, then you spray it with clear and polish it up, comes out nice and shiny.

ya supposedly its a fairly easy job to do on ur own and if u mess it u should be able to get it off somehow

My friend who paints cars did these.(My old Z28) All he did was take PPG clear, and added a touch of black to it, then sprayed! After words I can buff them for perfect smooth finish.

that VHT nightshade seems interesting. though reading further on the forum thread some of the users stated their spayed lights began to crack after about 1 year. though i'm still curious and well i'm really considering on this as a project. lol i really need something to do as everything is at a stand still right now. with that i'm also looking at switching the bulbs with L.E.D.s just to help the visibility when braking. better to be safe than sorry.

a question though to anyone that may or may not know but let's say that the spaying went bad, would it be possible to use a paint thinner solvent to remove the sprayed on tinting?

i read that almost any remover will work especially right after u do it. They say the only time it really gets permenant is if after like 3 months your like " ah man this looks gay" then you got a problem
