Konaki recone kit

Recommended Posts

Scott/Nick , when I drilled out the 2 bolts to get the basket off, I got metal shavings into the gap (Even though I taped it off) :( , will this be a problem?

Motor shipped out today, conformation # is 0307 1790 0004 8094 6891 . Could someone let me know when you recieve it.

Also, I sent Nick a pm about getting the gap cleaned out, I got metal shavings in it when 2 of the screws became stripped.

I drilled the screws out, hence the metal shavings, 2 of the bolt holes have a little screw left in them, I hope this will not be a problem.

I will mail a USPS money order on the Friday (12/07/07) for payment of the recone. Please get back to me either through a pm or email me at [email protected] .

Thank you FI :)

Keep us posted on the results of your recone. I'm thinking of doing something similar, but keeping it a 12. Thanks.

Need to send you an email about this one... received the box the other day, with nothing but 2 pieces of foam in it. I put in a claim through the postal service for it and they have a description and are trying to track it down. Apparently the top and bottom of the box were taped with that reinforced tape, but the motor flew out the side of the box. I know you have insurance on it and I need to get all your info together for them.

Bad times with this one... sorry :(

Ill keep you posted.

Bummer man. I was really looking foward to reading about the out come. Can anyone at Fi Audio Guesstimate the performance of a reconed Konaki sub. I'm looking for a high out put daily sub on the cheap. Thanks.

Problem is the cooling. It truly isnt a DD sub for cheap. Cooling is a bust on that motor. We can get it to handle plenty of power through soft parts for SPL, but cooling for daily is another story.
