I have in fact. for some reason it just didn't trip my trigger. Maybe I listen too loud. It just feels deeper when I listen to it. I like the way it I can feel the mids...

Maybe it's all mental....

I like the tweeter, mids and sub combo.

I have never done the whole home DIY thing yet. I just might though when I move. I can't complain much however with my set up ATM. it's beautiful and sounds like a dream to me... that's just me though...

I can't take away from the fact this will be pretty beautiful and I bet sound great, i don't doubt it... I just didn't fall in love with those kind of setups.

I am going to get my hands wet in next summer and do a DIY set up for outside I think, when I move into the new house... I also plan to do a DIY sub for the HT.

Sorry I didn't mean to thread jack though guys. I was really just saying that it impressed me and single driver systems rarely do. I think it's going to be beautiful.

I also agree 10 fold on the copper plug... really awesome. Looks wonderfull with the natural wood grain and tone I think. The plugs on my RC's are silver in color and the fact they didn't use copper is the only cosmetic thing I would change.

I ended up installing just one last night, since the other tower isn't complete yet. I was extremely happy that the baffles I made fit the driver perfectly . No inaccuracy at all with the dimensions, especially since I had design the driver location to have the rear of the driver braced by the port wall itself.

All I can say is... the midrange accuracy & sound is extremely pleasing, and the high frequency response is extremely surprising, with only a touch of EQ'ing needed to bring that sparkle out.

I'll give more thoughts once I make this thing "stereo".

The rhino & beany baby are protecting my deeebeeez from thieves.

In the corner I currently have my 3 MAW-10s in a 1.5ft^3 sealed enclosure off of the plate amp. I do not need the subs unless I am watching movies. The low end output from the FR125S' in these BIBs is UNREAL. I can feel the kicks in my chest when I am in my listening position (in bed haha). This is truly a full range build, and I am VERY impressed!

Looks awesome. Definitely an unconventional listening area but I have one pair of FR's in my bedroom in a very similar setup where I listen while laying in bed.

Your BIB's really look great, though. The FR/WR always surprises me that you can get so much low frequency output from a little 4.5" driver...add a TQWT like the BIB and wow, no doubt.

Internal dimensions

Height: 68"

So: 36.5"

Width: 4.75"

Depth: 7.25"

A,B,C: 3 5/8"

You would need even less room if you chose a smaller driver, like the Aurasound NS-3, or Fostex's 3" full ranger.

Footprint is small, height is not.

Ok guys, I'd like your input on what subwoofer enclosures I should try for the following 10" subwoofer:

Some of the specs are:

Fs: 23.3 Hz

Qms: 5.35

Qes: 0.35

VAS: 36.6L

Xmax: 22mm

I am going to try it in a 0.75ft^3 sealed enclosure. Ported enclosure would be nice to try, but since this is for HT ONLY, getting a tuning low enough for my preference turns the port length into a headache, unless I make the enclosure more critically damped, or reduce port area (and I don't want any port noise!).

Thoughts?

Sonotube LLT, which is really just an EBS variant, which is really just a 4th order reflex, which is really just a ported enclosure.

T-linespeakers.org has an 8-foot straight Sonotube TL design, about as simple as I've seen...just a stuffed pipe with the woofer mounted on one end.

I'd like to keep the footprint small, that being said, I can go tall, since this will be moved out of my bedroom into the living room that has a vaulted ceiling soon.

15" Sonotube...tiny footprint, lots 'o low end extension

Or if you can go tall, go with Nelson Pass' 14-footers
