IB in car

Recommended Posts

Aight , I have done a few IB installs here and there. Dave and I were discussing IB in his camry and a question came to mind . Both sides of the sub play exactly the same thing , only one side is 180 degrees out of phase with the other. So knowing that , does it matter which side of the sub is mounted in the trunk ? Meaning 99.9% of the time an IB install in a car is done , the cone is faced forward towards the cabin of the vehicle, and motor in the trunk . Does it have to be this way or can it be flipped the other direction ? :)

Scott beat me to it. There is of course the possibility of mechanical noises inverted, but that isn't news to you.
