3hp Recone?

Recommended Posts

I already sent an email about this i just wanted to see if i could get a quicker response through the forum. Can you guys recone the TC 3 HP motors with the six mounting holes? I need a response fairly soon so i can order another one before they run out. I would prefer them to be tens or twelves and handle at least 1krms each. If you guys recone it will it sound fairly similiar?

Thank you

Yes we can... make sure that the holes are in a 5" circle pattern as well (this is the standard size we use). As there are many different top plate variations of this motor, it is always best to send one in for us to measure from... but most have a bigger gap and we can fit a fair amount of coils in it. A Q coiled setup with 3 softer spiders should work well. I would rather do 12s than 10s for these as well. 10s are really tight space wise.

Thanks for the reply, im not sure how to measure the pattern, but it is from my tc3k ti. Around how much will this cost me? is there any way to make a single 12" out of it that will handle 2kw?

which do you think woulod yield better results? The thing that concerns me most is space and you all said it was a bad idea to do a 3hp 10" but the Q's come in a ten

If i order two q's about a month apart they will be the same right? and will a pair of the tens be okay on 2300 watts for both?

How do the Q's, AA Havocs, and tc-3k compare? I was also considering doing a single havoc. What is the havocs power handling capabilities?

Sorry to bug you with questions, i cant really hear any of this stuff before i buy and im looking for a new set-up. If there is anyway to compare these to the tc3000 thats what i have now.
