1) do I have to connect the 2 inputs like in the diagram, or can I just use one ?

2) I am assuming the 2 speaker outputs are in parallel, so connecting a 2 ohm load to each set will result in a 1 ohm load to the amp .... ??

1 - when you say inputs, you mean rca inputs, correct? if so, then one is all that is really needed.

2 - correct again
